Water Sports
One of the main centers for water sports is the town of El Medano (photos) in the south of Tenerife. This is a growing and an increasingly popular seaside town. The prevailing easterly breezes and great beaches make it a natural choice for surfers and other water sports fanatics. The town has hosted the world windsurfing championships and has an excellent Windsurfing Club with hire and instruction facilities. As far as taking photos is concerned, if you are the owner of say a Canon 400mm image stabilized lens or the like, you'll get superb photos of the surfers exploits as well as Wind surfers (photos) Kite surfers (photos)
