Royalty free stock photographs of many locations in Tenerife and La Gomera, in the Canary Islands. Stock images of the islands of Boa Vista and Sal in Cape Verde Islands are also included. Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Palma and El Hierro stock photos will soon feature as well.

Aerial Photos
Canaryphotostock paid a visit to T.A.I. Flights based at Reina Sofia airport. After briefing Fabian, the pilot, of the type of Aerial Photos (fotos), required, the flight plan was cleared with air traffic control. The Cessna Hawk XP II left the runway with Montaña Roja (fotos) passing to the right and the cars taking on dinky proportions. We banked south over the town of El Medano (fotos), the sea cascaded into a translucent shimmer of emerald within the confines of the shores. Montaña Roja was dominant in its reddish brown guise until Mount Teide appeared below the starboard wingtip.
The aim of the shoot was to photograph the southern tip of Tenerife to the north western point of the Teno lighthouse and the major sights, images and towns in between. At ten thirty in the morning, the sunlight was low and cast the form of the land in undulating folds of light and shadow. The new marina of Las Galletas (fotos), a popular Tenerife resort, was clearly seen with a flotilla of boats moored in the harbour.
Palm Mar (fotos), Los Cristianos (fotos) and Playa de Las Americas (fotos) all passed below with boat trails in and out of the harbours indicating that daily life was underway. The pilot skewed the plane up and to the left, trimming it to lighten the work required with the controls. The airflow and pressure flowing past the window held it open flush against the underside of the wing allowing clear view to take the fotos.
With the wingtip raised, Teide came into full view with a delicate mist hugging the landscape. The quaint towns of Playa de San Juan (fotos) and Alcala (fotos), preceded the popular destination of Los Gigantes (fotos) with its marina and famous cliffs. Banks of cloud and mist layered the cliff valleys and framed Teide (fotos) above. Shooting from the air gives a totally new perspective of the many spectacular landscapes of Tenerife. As far as royalty free stock photos are concerned, to not have these types of high resolution fotos of the nature of Tenerife and the other Canary Islands would be criminal.
Teno lighthouse, marked the turning point for the return leg. The flight up was over the sea to capture the coastline with Teide as a backdrop. The track back was over land so the sea became the backdrop. The recently renamed Ritz Carlton Hotel (fotos) at Abama, stood out like an earthenware model with the golf course like a green oasis trailing to the sea.
Radio checks to TFS control tower allowed the flight line to be changed to accommodate the photos needed. Unfortunately with it being a Wednesday, shots of Reina Sofia (fotos) in full swing were not possible. In fact there were no aircraft on the apron at all, but this lack of air traffic allowed full shooting access of the airport from all angles during the circuit.
This sixty minute sortie produced the aerial photo perspectives required, with more flights planned in the future.
