Royalty free stock photographs of many locations in Tenerife and La Gomera, in the Canary Islands. Stock images of the islands of Boa Vista and Sal in Cape Verde Islands are also included. Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Palma and El Hierro stock photos will soon feature as well.

Elton John
Costa Adeje Golf in Tenerife, Canary Islands, played hosts to Elton John and his entourage to play to an audience of thousands for two and three quarter hours.
As one of the photographers with a prized 'accreditation', I was shown to the area reserved for the press at the front of the stage. From here there were unrestricted views of the man himself. The only thing was we only had 12 minutes to get as many fotos in as possible from this vantage point. This is an all too common concert policy. Still, I had full access to the whole width of the arena and took some great shots of the maestro in full ivory tickling action.
For the rest of the concert, I roamed the grounds to get different shooting angles which of course needed the help of a tripod and palm trees when the former wasn't practical.
Elton John (photos) walked on to the stage bang on time and played till midnight. Gone are the days when he would put in a more energetic performance, but to see him through a zoom lens plying his trade, watching his fingers move effortlessly, makes you realise his undeniable talent.
He still dresses with is own style, in this instance, a long-tailed coat. Looking through the lens I could see the diamonds inlayed into the frames of his glasses, the initials E.J.
For the next value-for-money two and three quarter hours, he dealt out generous portions of his best known hits. Candle in Wind, Yellow Brick Road, Rocket Man, Honky Cat, Benny and the Jets et al; those that weren't faithfully reproduced live to studio standard were enhanced by improvisation and invention.
The keyboard cam showed what a virtuoso piano player he is. Even the piano Meister, Billy Joel once said in awe that he constantly redefines what can be done on eighty-eight ivory keys. For those performances alone, it was worth watching.
Along with Nigel Olson and Davey Johnstone who have been with him since 1969 and three additional musicians, there were moments where regular superlatives wouldn't be enough to describe the grand scale of production. The flawless backing vocals and accompaniment, lighting and sound engineering producing a sound and ambience which was operatic in scale.
His voice, once slightly reedy is now baritone rich and powerful. He avoided the falsetto parts leaving the audience participation to provide the Speedy Gonzales hook in Crocodile Rock while on rare moments he backed it with his own voice, a whole two octaves lower.
Attended by a multinational crowd, it was nothing less than a moment of homage to one of the world's most enduring and talented composer/performers of our time. With the concert in full flow, the grounds were packed to bursting, as were the balconies of over-looking apartments. He has survived as an immortal standing in the ashes of thousands of come-and-go acts. He effortlessly crossed the international and age divides leaving everyone with lasting memories and canaryphotostock with photos and images that put Tenerife on the concert map.
