Royalty free stock photographs of many locations in Tenerife and La Gomera, in the Canary Islands. Stock images of the islands of Boa Vista and Sal in Cape Verde Islands are also included. Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Palma and El Hierro stock photos will soon feature as well.

Aguaviva Concerts
Each year in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, a series of concerts are held called Aguavivas (photos). As well as being perfect opportunities to take images for our collection of Tenerife photos, their prime task is to highlight all aspects of Green issues. They inform and enthuse people about the overall health of the planet with ways to help improve the environment on a local level but also with the entire planet in mind.
During the concerts' week, the organization holds excellent exhibitions. These highlight the ceaseless work which is going on to improve the health of the planet, save endangered species, the pollution of our all-too-important seas and global warming. Workshops are held where people can get actively involved. For example, the release of baby turtles and injured turtles, which have been rescued and nursed back to health. Photo exhibitions are held on local beaches so people can see the diversity of work and projects which are ongoing in and around the Canary Islands as well as worldwide. Also dance classes, submarine trips, free diving, film presentations and even exhibitions of sculptures made from material removed from the seabed. These activities all coincide with the Worldwide Day of the Environment and the Oceans.
The Aguavivas motto of ''United by the Oceans'' sees thousands congregating to watch excellent concerts in Tenerife and Gran Canaria. We have been fortunate enough to attend these spectacles for a few years now and witness the superb atmosphere generated by the stars and crowds who come to enjoy the music.
The line ups at the football stadium, Estadio de Los Cristianos have been impressive and included:

The stage and lighting give excellent opportunities for taking photos of the performers themselves. The area allocated to the photographers at the front of the stage can be cramped with everyone dodging and weaving to get their shot, but the work is rewarded in the end. Again, if you manage to get a press pass, there are only certain times and songs which you can take photos due to 'permissions and rights'. So you need to work fast and think ahead of the type of fotos you need. These restrictions can be very frustrating, but it certainly focuses your work rate and efficiency of getting the shots you need.
