Los Gigantes
Los Gigantes and its sister resorts of Puerto de Santiago and Playa de la Arena lie on Tenerife's picturesque West coast. It's about 30 kilometers from Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos and 50 kilometers from the main airport of Reina Sofia (Tenerife Sur).

Los Gigantes is a small, pleasant, tranquil seaside town that rises from a pretty harbour and has an air of maturity and exclusivity about it. With a wide variety of bars, restaurants and shops, it is a highly popular destination for people who come back year after year. The town is named after the spectacular cliffs which rise to a staggering 800 metres above sea level (over 2,500 feet!). They are visible in all their majesty from a variety of lookout points but perhaps best experienced close up from a boat. They loom over you and you can pick out all the different colours and textures of their volcanic strata. Nestling at the foot of the cliffs is a small, clean, black sand beach that is rarely crowded. Adjacent to it is the marina, where you can arrange a trip to see the dolphin and whale colonies that lie between the town and the neighbouring island of La Gomera.
