Gordon Chesterman was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, but because his father was in the RAF, he grew up on RAF bases. When his father was posted to RAF Changi, Singapore, Gordon realised he never wanted to live any place but in the sun.

Always very creative, Gordon left the Civil Service to study at Jacob Kramer College of Art in Leeds, which led to an BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design at Staffordshire University. The degree covered Graphics, Photography, Audio Visual, Animation and Computer Design. A further year resulted in a Post Grad degree in Design, which also included Accountancy, Marketing, Management and Advertising.
After working for two years as a graphic designer for Weider Publishing in Harrogate, a vacancy became available with a print company in the south of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. A successful application saw Gordon return to the life he liked best – one in the sun.

It soon became apparent to him that there was an urgent need for quality imagery of Tenerife. This has resulted in the canaryphotostock Website.

Gordon has extensive knowledge of the design/print process from initial brief through to prepress CMYK high end web offset, digital and large format printing. With many years experience as a graphic designer, and now a member of the Canon Professional Service, his energies are happily spent as a photographer providing high quality imagery of Tenerife and the other Canary Islands to help in the promotion of the Islands as a popular vacation destination.

Alex Veccia is a freelance travel photographer based in the Canary Islands. His work has been published in The Daily Express, A Place in the Sun, Spain magazine, House Hunters in the Sun, Evolution and many others.
Recent commissions have expanded a portfolio of global images that now stretches from Patagonia to the Cape Verde Islands.

As the production manager of several glossy magazines, Alex constantly struggled to source high quality, professional images for a discerning readership. This gap in the market was discussed with long time colleague and fellow photographer, Gordon Chesterman, and together they sowed the seeds for the imagebank, and now supply the needs of many international publications.
